Omonia remain without left-back Fotis Kitsos and midfielder Carel Eiting, who are recovering from knee injuries. Luuk Brouwers is pushing for his first start after appearing as a halftime substitute at the weekend, while Loïs Diony is expected to lead the attack after scoring four goals during Europa League qualifying.
Celta captain Iago Aspas did not travel after suffering a recurrence of a muscular problem and is expected to be unavailable for approximately one month. Academy player Andrés Antañón is also absent with a knee injury. However, Borja Iglesias, Aleix Febas and Jones El-Abdellaoui have returned to the squad, although Giráldez acknowledged that all three are still short of full fitness. Javi Rodríguez is available but has recently had his workload managed following back discomfort and a disrupted preseason.
