PSV team news

PSV will be without Mauro Júnior, who is suspended for the league-phase opener. Jerdy Schouten, Sami Ouaissa, Alassane Pléa and Kiliann Sildillia remain unavailable through injury or lack of fitness.

Dennis Man has returned to training and could make the matchday squad, although coach Peter Bosz said he was still approaching full fitness. Sam Lammers is also doubtful. Ruben van Bommel is available after starting the victory over Ajax and is expected to retain his place on the left, with Ricardo Pepi leading the attack.

Shakhtar Donetsk team news

Goalkeeper Kiril Fesiun is unavailable because of illness, while defender Marlon Santos remains sidelined with a muscular injury. Pedrinho is doubtful with a thigh problem and may not be risked.

Dmytro Riznyk should consequently continue in goal. Kauã Elias, who has scored three goals in his opening five appearances this season, is expected to start ahead of Luca Meirelles, while Alisson Santana and Newertton are the leading candidates for the wide attacking positions.
