Celje’s domestic match at the weekend was postponed to give Vítor Campelos’s squad additional preparation time. The Slovenian champions have already eliminated Egnatia on penalties and Ararat-Armenia 3-2 on aggregate during their longest Champions League qualifying run. Celje are expected to be without midfielder Jošt Pišek and defender Łukasz Bejger through injury. Mario Kvesić, who has scored four times in five qualifying appearances and assisted Avdyli’s first-leg equaliser, should operate behind centre-forward Armandas Kučys.
Former Slovenia international Benjamin Verbič and Australian youngster Yaya Dukuly provide alternative attacking options, although both are likely to begin among the substitutes.
Slovan striker Mykola Kukharevych is expected to miss the match with a hamstring injury. Andraž Šporar has only recently returned from an injury layoff and may not be ready to start, making first-leg scorer Čerepkai the favourite to lead the attack.
