It starts and finishes near the Hamburg Messe exhibition center, winding through the heart of the city. Runners pass major landmarks like the Binnenalster Lake, the Elbchaussee waterfront, the Reeperbahn entertainment district, and the historic Speicherstadt warehouse district. The route is mostly wide and smooth, with very few sharp turns, helping athletes maintain a steady rhythm. Crowds line much of the course, creating an energetic, supportive atmosphere from start to finish.
