The 2026 Media Maratón Ciudad de Buenos Aires will bring a record 31,500 runners to the streets of Argentina’s capital on Sunday, August 23. Starting at 8:00 a.m. local time from Avenida Figueroa Alcorta and Dorrego, the World Athletics Label road race features a fast, flat 21.1km course and an outstanding elite field led by Ethiopian stars Yomif Kejelcha and Fotyen Tesfay, alongside leading Argentine runners Florencia Borelli, Ignacio Erario and Joaquín Arbe.

The Buenos Aires Half Marathon will be streamed live for free on YouTube, with the live coverage starting at 7:20 am local time (10:20 GMT).
Starting waves
Runners will be released in waves based on expected finishing times:
- 7:57 a.m. – Athletes with disabilities
- 8:00 a.m. – Elite wave A
- 8:01 a.m. – Elite wave B
- 8:03 a.m. – Under 1:15
- 8:06 a.m. – 1:16–1:30
- 8:08 a.m. – 1:31–1:36
- 8:11 a.m. – 1:37–1:45
- 8:14 a.m. – 1:46–1:50
