Berlin – The ISTAF INDOOR in the sold-out Uber Arena delivered an electrifying night of world-class athletics, setting new records and thrilling the 12,100 passionate fans in attendance. On Valentine's Day, the world's largest indoor athletics meet became a showcase of extraordinary performances, highlighted by the phenomenal pole vault of ‘Mondo’ Duplantis, who cleared an astounding 6.10 meters—higher than any athlete in the event’s history. While the Swede narrowly missed a new world record at 6.27 meters, his breathtaking leap captivated the roaring crowd. Meanwhile, Olympic champion Yemisi Ogunleye dominated the shot put ring, launching a world-class 19.42-meter throw to secure a commanding victory.

The sprint events also produced record-breaking feats. German rising star Heiko Gussmann dazzled with a new U23 European record in the 60 meters, clocking 6.57 seconds to claim an impressive win. Marlene Meier stormed to victory in the 60-meter hurdles, setting a personal best of 7.92 seconds, while Rebekka Haase triumphed in the flat 60 meters with a time of 7.26 seconds. Swiss indoor champion Jason Joseph showcased his class in the men’s hurdles with a swift 7.63-second finish. The German contingent had plenty to celebrate, including Paralympic star Felix Streng, who shattered the national 60-meter record with an exceptional 7.03-second run.

From record-shattering performances to emotional victories, the ISTAF INDOOR 2025 once again proved why it remains a premier stage for elite athletics, igniting excitement for what’s to come in the season ahead.
