Noah Lyles and Shericka Jackson set World Leads at Racers Grand Prix in Kingston

World champions Noah Lyles from the United States and Jamaica's Shericka Jackson set new World leads in Kingston on Saturday (3).
Running out of lane seven, the two-time world champion Lyles obliterated the men's 200m field at the Racers Grand Prix, a World Athletics Continental Tour Silver level meeting, setting a new world lead and meeting record of 19.67 (+0.3 m/s). Great Britain’s Zharnel Hughes, who managed to challenge Lyles for the first 60m, crossed the line in a distant second place in 20.14.
Shericka Jackson, the defending 200m World champion, dominated the women's 100m dash with the fastest time this year in the world of 10.78 (+1.6 m/s). She also established a new meeting record. Anthonique Strachan from Bahamian finished second in a season-best time of 10.99.
South Africa's two-time world champion and World record-holder Wayde Van Niekerk improved his season's best time in the 400m as he took a convincing victory in the men's 400m A final in a meeting record of 44.21. Jamaica’s Zandrion Barnes broke the 45-second barrier to take second in 44.90.
