Los Angeles Marathon Course
The ASICS Los Angeles Marathon features the well-known “Stadium to the Stars” course, a point-to-point route that showcases many of the city’s most recognizable neighborhoods and landmarks.
The race begins at Dodger Stadium, where runners start with an early downhill section leaving the stadium grounds before heading into Downtown Los Angeles. The course then gradually climbs through Chinatown and Echo Park, offering wide city views in the opening miles.
From there, runners enter the famous Hollywood area, passing along Hollywood Boulevard near landmarks such as the Walk of Fame. This section leads into West Hollywood, where the course includes one of the race’s longer gradual climbs.
In the later stages, the route continues through Beverly Hills, including a stretch along the world-famous Rodeo Drive. After this point, runners encounter a slightly rolling profile before the final kilometers.
The marathon finishes in Century City, where athletes complete the 42.195-kilometer journey near the district’s modern skyline.
Overall, the course is rolling rather than flat, with several long gradual climbs—especially between miles 8 and 20—followed by a gentle downhill run toward the finish. The route is widely known for combining competitive racing with a scenic tour through the heart of Los Angeles.
