Julian Reus sets German 100m national record

German sprinter Julian Reus clocked a blistering 10.01 seconds in 100m at Mannheim international meet on Friday, July 29. 

The 28-year-old Reus lowered his personal best and national record by 0.02 seconds to win heat 1 at the Manheim international athletics meet.

Reus returned to track later and together with Sven Knipphals, Aleixo Platini Menga  and  Lucas Jakubczyk to posted the 4th fastest time in 4x100m relay time this year in the world of 38.22 seconds.

In the womens 100m heat 1, the 24-year-old Tatjana Pinto produced a big personal best of 11.00 seconds with compatriot Gina Luckenkemper in second in 11.04 also a new PB.

German team of Tatjana Pinto, Lisa Mayer, Gina Luckenkemper and Rebekka Haase clocked a new world lead of 41.62 seconds in the 4x100m relay. 

Nadine Hildebrand ran a massive PB of 12.64 seconds and beat into second place World Championships silver medalist and reigning European champion Cindy Roleder in the women's 100m hurdles. 

Reigning world champion Raphael Holzdeppe cleared 4.70m to top the men's pole vault.
