Andreas Hoffman Eclipses Javelin World Lead with 89.40m in Offenburg

Germany's Andreas Hoffman established a new World lead in the javelin at the International Speerwurf Meeting in Offenburg on Sunday, May 26.

Hoffman's winning throw of 89.40m came in his third attempt.

Bernhard Seifert (GER) threw 89.06m for second place improving his personal best by nearly 4 meters 

Thomas Rohler (GER), the Olympic champion, was third with 85.47m.

The women's javelin contest took Nikola Ogrodnikova with the 2nd best throw in 2019 and a new PB of 67.40m.
