The Corrida Internacional de São Silvestre returns on 31 December 2025 for its historic 100th edition, marking a full century since the iconic road race was first run in 1925. As the most traditional street race in Brazil and one of Latin America’s signature running spectacles, this year’s event promises a record turnout of around 55,000 participants from dozens of countries lining up for the 15 km challenge through the heart of São Paulo.
Starting and finishing on Avenida Paulista, the race weaves past city landmarks and is structured with staggered start times across categories, including PCD (wheelchair) athletes, elite men’s and women’s fields, premium waves, and the general public. Elite women begin at 07:40, followed by elite men at 08:05, in one of the most festive mass participation runs on the global calendar.
The entire event will be broadcast live on TV Globo, TV Gazeta and YouTube from 7:00 am local time Sao Paulo (GMT -3).
