Course Map & Route Guide - Sevilla Half Marathon

The Sevilla Half Marathon (Medio Maratón de Sevilla) — one of Europe’s fastest road races — features a looped 21.097 km course through the historic and vibrant streets of Seville, Spain. The route combines speed, scenery, and city landmarks to create a uniquely memorable running experience.
Start & Finish
Start/Finish: Both are located on Paseo de las Delicias, a broad riverside avenue that allows for a smooth mass start and a spacious, energetic finish line atmosphere.
Course Highlights
From Paseo de las Delicias, runners head out through central Seville, looping past significant parts of the city while staying mostly on wide, flat urban roads — ideal for fast, rhythm-based running.
The flat, low-turn course lends itself to personal best attempts and fast times, with elevation changes minimal throughout the 21.1 km distance.
The route weaves along and across the Guadalquivir River, giving runners views of the water and important city bridges while moving through diverse neighborhoods.
Scenic Urban Sections
Participants will enjoy a mostly urban tour of Seville’s streets, with the course historically touching near monuments and architectural gems such as city parks, plazas, and classic boulevards — all while keeping a layout that supports strong performances and consistent pacing.
Technical Notes
The course is certified by World Athletics and the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation, and it must be completed within a 3-hour time limit.
Aid and refreshment stations are positioned roughly every 5 km, and kilometer markers are clearly signed throughout the route to help runners manage their race strategy.
Why It’s Fast
Flat terrain, few technical twists, and a long, smooth final straight back to Paseo de las Delicias make this course a favorite for runners seeking quick times, personal bests, or debut half marathon performances early in the season.
