Five 2.40m High-jumpers to Clash In Rome

The organizers of Rome Diamond League meeting announced today that all five 2.40m+ high-jumpers - Ukhov, Bondarenko, Dmitrik, Barshim and Drouin - will clash on June 5 at the Rome Olympic Stadium.

It will be the first time since currently all best high-jumpers will compete in a Diamond League meeting or any other Grand Prix besides world championships or Olympic games.

So far Ukhov leads the field with a 2.41m performance from Doha, following Bondarenko and Drouin with 2.40m. Dmitrik posted his best performance from indoors, when he cleared 2.40m in February in Russia. Barshim who's personal best also stands at 2.40m has leaped 2.37m this season. 

Also in the field is American youngster  Erik Kynard, the world championship medalist, who jumped 2.37m in Doha last weekend.
