• Yomif Kejelcha to attempt 1500m World indoor record

Ethiopia's Yomif Kejelcha will attempt Hicham El Guerrouj’s 1500m world indoor record of 3:31.18 today at the at the Muller Indoor Grand Prix Birmingham.

Kejelcha, who is coached by the controversial US coach Alberto Salazar, missed the World mile record last weekend by 0.01 seconds at the NYRR Millrose Games.

El Guerrouj set the 1500m World indoor record back in 1997.

The men's 1500m starts at 3:33pm local time in the United Kingdom (UTC).  The race will be live on TV and online on BBC 1 and TVP Sports. In the United States, the competition will be streamed live on NBC Gold.
