• Some Clocks 2:05.38 in Paris Marathon

Kenyan Peter Some sliced almost 3 minutes of his marathon personal best to take the victory at the 37th edition of Paris marathon on Sunday, April 7.

The 22-year-old Some took solo leade around 30km mark and never looked back, stopping the clock at the finish line in 2:35.38 minutes. 

The 2010 Paris marathon winner, Ethiopian Tadese Tola, outsprinted in final meters in the race Kenyan runner Eric Ndiema for second. They were 51 seconds behind the winner.

Ethiopian Tadese Boru won the women's version in a new race record of two hours 21 minutes and six seconds.

Tadese beat the previous best of 2:21:40 set by compatriot Tirfi Beyene last year.

Merima Mohammed was 2 minutes and 8 seconds behind in second with Kenyan Eunice Kirwa (2:23:34) completing the podium.
