The world’s best track cyclists are heading to South America as the 2025 UCI Track Cycling World Championships take place from October 22 to 26 at the Velódromo Peñalolén in Santiago, Chile. The event marks the first time Chile has hosted the championships and the first edition in Latin America since 2017 in Hong Kong.

Across five thrilling days, riders will battle for 22 rainbow jerseys—11 for men and 11 for women—covering all Olympic and World Championship disciplines, including the sprint, keirin, omnium, Madison, individual and team pursuits, and the kilo and 500 m time trials.
The championships open on Wednesday, October 22 with the team sprint and scratch race finals, followed by a packed schedule featuring keirin, team pursuit, elimination, points, and Madison races through to the closing day on Sunday, October 26, which will conclude with the men’s sprint, women’s keirin, and men’s Madison finals.
Morning sessions will begin around 11:00 local time (UTC-3), with most evening sessions starting at 17:30. The final day will feature an earlier session beginning at 13:30.
This year’s championships feature an impressive international field, with powerhouse nations Australia, Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, and New Zealand joined by rising teams from the United States, Canada, and host nation Chile.
The UCI has confirmed that several Olympic champions and 2024 world titleholders will compete, promising intense rivalries in the sprint, pursuit, and endurance events.
