The 2026 Espoo Motonet GP takes on Wednesday, August 19, at Leppävaaran Stadion in Espoo, Finland. It is the fifth and final meeting of Finland’s 2026 Motonet GP series and forms part of the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze calendar.
The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. local time (EEST), which is 3:30 p.m. CET, 2:30 p.m. BST and 9:30 a.m. US Eastern. The main televised portion starts at 6:00 p.m. local time / 11:00 a.m. ET.

Leading athletes and storylines
- Ronnie Baker headlines the men’s 100m. The American, fifth at the Tokyo Olympics and a world indoor bronze medallist, owns a personal best of 9.83.
- Finland’s Riku Illukka contests the 200m after setting a Finnish record at the European Championships in Birmingham. He faces Nigerian sprinter Udodi Onwuzurike, whose personal best is 19.76.
- The men’s shot put is expected to be one of the strongest field events, with four athletes who have surpassed 21 metres this season, according to the event preview.
- Topi Raitanen, the 2022 European 3000m steeplechase champion, is entered for his first steeplechase race of the season following a long period disrupted by injury. He has so far raced only an 800m and a 1500m in 2026.
- Finnish 5000m standout Tuomas Heikkilä leads the home challenge in the men’s 5000m.
- Kristian Pulli competes in the men’s long jump, while Senni Salminen contests the women’s triple jump.
