Course Map - Marathon Ciudad de Buenos Aires

The 42.195km course starts and finishes at the intersection of Avenida Figueroa Alcorta and Avenida Dorrego in Palermo. Runners travel through some of Buenos Aires’ most recognizable neighborhoods, including Palermo, Recoleta, the city center, La Boca and Puerto Madero. Along the way, the route passes landmarks such as the Obelisk, Teatro Colón, Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, Caminito and La Bombonera before heading north along the waterfront and returning to Palermo.
The predominantly flat urban course is designed for fast performances, although runners encounter a few gradual climbs and the Avenida Sarmiento tunnel late in the race. A blue line marks the shortest measured route around bends and across the city’s broad avenues, helping competitors follow the most efficient path over the full marathon distance.
