Six Russian track and field athletes banned for doping

The Russian Anti Doping Agency (RUSADA) announced on Monday it banned 6 Russian athletes for failing drugs test. 

A four year ban received a discus thrower Yulia Zaripova. Interestingly she has the same name as the 2012 Olympic steeplechase champion, who also is about to get banned for doping. 

RUSADA also banned mid-distance runner Olesya Syreva who received an 8-year ban. Syreva was first suspended for doping 5 years ago and lost her silver medal from a 2011 European championships for failing drugs test. 

Another athletes banned by RUSADA are Valeria Fyodorova, the participant of Eugene world junior championships in 2014, Elvira Abdrakhmanova, Vadim Vrublevsky and Yuri Bishaev.
