Tiki Gelana to Race at Dam to Damloop

The London Olympics Marathon Champion Tiki Gelana of Ethiopia will compete at this Sunday's IAAF Silver label road race Dam to Damloop in Netherlands.

Gelana, who holds Ethiopian marathon record of 2.18.58 will compete in the 10 mile race.

The 26 year Ethiopian has raced only twice this year: in April 13 she finished ninth at the London marathon in 2:26:58 and last Sunday at the Bupa Great North Run in South Shields  she took third in the half marathon in 68:45.

The course record of the Dam to Damloop race stands at 50.31 from 1987 and belongs to Norway runner Ingrid Kristiansen.
