Rudisha Ready for a Comeback

Posted by:

The 800m world record holder, David Rudisha, is set to make his long awaited comeback after one year from a knee injury at the Diamond League meeting in Eugene,  on Saturday (31).

Rudisha said that his one of the main goals this year is to win 800m at Commonwealth Games and get back to previous form when he set a world record of 1:40.91.

“The body system definitely changes when you take a long break. My treatment at a clinic in Germany was vital to my recovery since I have spent most of the time in the gym,” Rudisha said. “That is why my first race in Eugene will determine how far I will go."

“You will see a different Rudisha either way. Maybe I will come back much stronger or I will have work hard to regain my previous stupendous shape,” said Rudisha.

The Olympic 800m champion, Rudisha, after Eugene meeting will travel back to Kenya to compete at Kenyan Commonwealth games trials in June 7.
