Ukraine's Ryemyen Upgraded to European Gold after Naimova Received Life Ban for Doping

Mariya Ryemyen of Ukrauine has been upgraded to European Gold  after the IAAF confirmed Bulgaria's gold medalist Tezdzhan Naimova's life ban for doping.

 Tezdzhan Naimova won the 60m sprint distance at the 2013 European Indoor championships in  Gothenburg, Sweden in March, but now will have to return her gold medal after the IAAF confirmed her doping offense.

France's Myriam Soumare who was third will receive silver and, Bulgaria’s Ivet Lalova who finished in fourth will be upgraded to bronze.

Naimova will recieve a life time ban after after testing positive for taking anabolic steroid (Drostanolone) at the European indoor championship in Gothenburg. In 2009 she received a two year ban after manipulating a doping sample. The athlete can still appeal the decision at the Lausanne-based Court of Arbitration for Sport, but the source says she is not going to defend her self.
