The 23-year-old, Berglund, ran a very strong final 150m to win the race in 3:34.89 breaking his national record by 1.17 seconds. Total of eleven men broke 3:40 barrier in this 1500m race. Berglund first broke Swedish national record less than two weeks ago in Bern, Switzerland when he ran 3:36.07.
In the men's pole vault Sweden's Armand Duplantis cleared 5.90m for the win. He attempted 6.00m but failed to clear on all three attempts.
Thobias Montler of Sweden won the men's long jump with 8.17m. He was the only men in the field to pass 8 m mark.
Mateusz Borkowski won the men's 800m in 1:46.33 while Hedda Hynne of Norway prevailed in the women's two lap race cloking 2:01.32.
Ethiopians Aberash Minsewo and Girmawit Gebrzihair went 1-2 in the women's 3000m. Minsewo won the race in 8:53.10 just 0.75 ahed of Gebrzihair. Australian Camille Buscomb came in third in 8:55.42.
