The Sky Wifi Grand Prix Brescia 2024 is set to captivate athletics enthusiasts this Sunday at the Gabre Gabric stadium. This first-time event, part of the Continental Tour Bronze stage, will be broadcast live for free on the European Athletics and Sky Sport Arena from 3:20 p.m. to 5:40 p.m.
Headlining the event is Letsile Tebogo from Botswana, an Olympic champion and silver medalist in the 4x400 relay, who recently clocked an impressive 9.87 in the 100 meters at the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea. He will compete in the 200 meters. Also featured is Beatrice Chebet of Kenya, Olympic gold medalist in the 5000 and 10,000 meters at the Paris Games and the first woman to break 29 minutes in the 10,000 meters with a record time of 28:54.14. Chebet is set to run the 3000 meters following her attempt at another world record in the Zurich Diamond League.
The lineup also includes American hurdler Masai Russell, the current Olympic champion in the 100m hurdles, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn from Puerto Rico, Tokyo gold medalist and Paris bronze medalist in the 100m hurdles, and Kirani James from Grenada, 400m gold medalist at the 2012 London Olympics.
