RACE DAY SCHEDULE:

The elite runners for the Pittsburgh Half Marathon will start at 7:00 AM on the race day, followed by the rest of the participants. The event is carefully scheduled to accommodate various divisions, including the handcycle division which kicks off the day's activities at 6:50 AM​ ET.

ELITE RUNNERS HALF MARATHON:

The 2024 Pittsburgh Half Marathon is set to feature several elite runners. Caroline Rotich from Kenya, a past winner of the Boston Marathon and the defending champion of the Pittsburgh Half Marathon, plans to return to defend her title. She set the previous record for the half marathon in 2022, completing the course in an impressive 1:09.30​.

Wesley Kiptoo, also from Kenya, is the men's defending champion and set an event record last year with a time of 1:01.25. He made his half-marathon debut in Pittsburgh and expressed his excitement to compete again this year.
