The event, part of the World Athletics Road Race label Gold series, takes place on Sunday, January 21. More than 56,000 runners including elites and over 2,900 virtual runners​​ will take part at the biggest road race event in India,

International elite field includes likes of Ethiopians Hayle Lemi Berhanu and Anchialem Haymanot, both defending their titles in the men’s and women’s elite categories, among others. Indian elite field has last year’s men’s champion Gopi T and women’s runners-up Aarti Patil​​.
