World Masters Mountain Running Championships 2024 - Live Stream
The 2024 World Masters Mountain Running Championships will take place from September 13-15 in Canfranc, Spain, nestled in the beautiful Pyrenees. This year marks the first occasion that the event will feature all three World Mountain Running Association (WMRA) modalities—Uphill, Classic, and Long Distance. The championships are expected to draw an impressive number of participants, with over 1,400 athletes from 35 countries registered to compete.

The event is set in the historic mountain town of Canfranc, known for its challenging terrain and rich history in mountain running. The Canfranc-Canfranc race, integral to this area, has gained recognition over the years and has hosted several prestigious mountain running events.
Athletes aged 35 and older, affiliated with their national athletics federations, are eligible to compete across various age categories, showcasing their endurance in one of the most demanding sports environments. The championship's program spans three races:
- Uphill Race: A 6.5 km ascent with a 984 meter elevation gain.
- Classic Race: A 17 km course with a 1,050 meter elevation gain.
- Long Distance Race: A 34 km course with a 1,900 meter elevation gain.
