Austria's biggest New Year's Eve road race, the International Silvesterlauf Peuerbach, will celebrate its 40th edition on Saturday, December 31. The event is held on an 850m loop. The meet program has different races for different age groups ranging from 100m up to 6.800m. 

The main events are the international elite women's 5.100m (6 laps) at 2:30 p.m and men's 6.800 m (8 laps) at 3:00 p.m. local time.
