The event will start at the famous Olympic Stadium, where the European Championships were held this summer, on Sunday, September 9 at 9:30am Central European Time (GMT +2).

Munich Marathon 2022 will be streamed live on the event organizers YouTube Channel free worldwide from 8:50 local time (GMT +2).
The unofficial world junior record holder Tsegaye Mekonnen and fellow Ethiopian Mare Dibaba, who was the marathon World Champion in 2015, lead very strong elite start lists.
At the 36th edition of the traditional race, the organizers expect a total of 20,000 participants. Around 5,000 of them will run the entire 42.195 kilometers.
