This year’s elite fields are among the strongest ever assembled. In the men’s race, defending champion Sabastian Sawe faces a formidable challenge from track and road stars including Jacob Kiplimo, Joshua Cheptegei, Tamirat Tola, and Yomif Kejelcha, setting the stage for a high-quality, fast-paced contest.
The women’s race is equally compelling, led by defending champion Tigst Assefa alongside Joyciline Jepkosgei, Hellen Obiri, and Degitu Azimeraw. With multiple athletes capable of running well under 2:20, the race could produce one of the fastest times in London Marathon history.
