The nation’s top collegiate distance runners are set to converge on Columbia, Missouri, for the 2025 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 22, hosted at the acclaimed Gans Creek Cross Country Course. Missouri’s home course has become a staple venue for elite collegiate racing in recent years, and it will once again welcome a deep and expanded national field.

Both races will be broadcast live on ESPNU from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET, with full streaming available on the ESPN App.
Race Day Schedule:
Racing begins with the women’s 6 km at 10:20 a.m. ET, followed by the men’s 10 km at 11:10 a.m. ET.
This year marks a significant update to the championship format, with the NCAA expanding the Division I finals to 32 teams per gender, up from 31. Alongside these teams, 38 individual qualifiers will toe the line in both the men’s 10 km and women’s 6 km races, bringing the total number of competitors per race to 262—the largest championship fields in NCAA history.
Qualifiers earned their places through the nine regional championships held on November 14, with the top two teams from each region receiving automatic bids and 14 additional teams chosen at-large. Four individual auto-qualifiers from each region, plus at-large additions, completed the field of 38 individuals.
With powerhouse programs such as Northern Arizona, Oklahoma State, BYU, NC State, Georgetown, Colorado, Stanford, and New Mexico consistently battling for podium spots, the stage is set for another thrilling championship Saturday.
