The elegant coastal city of San Sebastián (Donostia) will once again host one of Spain’s most scenic and fastest road races — the Rural Kutxa San Sebastián Half Marathon 2025, taking place on Sunday, October 5, 2025, with the start set for 9:30 a.m.

A World-Class Coastal Course
Renowned for its flat, fast, and breathtaking route, the San Sebastián Half Marathon offers runners a one-lap circuit that showcases the very best of the Basque Country’s charm. The race begins and ends near Alderdi Eder Gardens, just steps from San Sebastián’s City Hall (Ayuntamiento), and winds along the city’s most iconic landmarks.
Participants will enjoy a tour of San Sebastián’s three famous beaches — La Concha, Ondarreta, and Zurriola — while running past elegant Belle Époque architecture, lively promenades, and cheering locals. With smooth asphalt, mild autumn temperatures, and virtually no elevation gain, the course is ideal for personal bests and first-time half marathoners alike.
