The city of Košice, Slovakia, is preparing to host one of the continent’s most iconic road races — the Košice Peace Marathon 2025, set for Sunday, October 5, 2025. As Europe’s oldest marathon, first held in 1924, the event combines deep history with modern athletic excellence, drawing thousands of runners from across the world to the cobbled streets and grand boulevards of Slovakia’s second-largest city.
The 2024 Košice Peace Marathon will be broadcast live on RTVS Sport, the Slovak national TV sports channel, on Sunday, October 6, starting at 8:30 am local time (GMT +2).
