• Powell wins 100m at DecaNation in Marseille

Jamaican sprint superstar Asafa Powell won the 100m a the annual DecaNation competition in Marseille on Tuesday. 

The former world record holder, Powell, running into negative 1.9m/s headwind clocked a modest 10.20 seconds to beat Japan's Yoshihide Kiryu into second.

In the men's 200m, Rio Olympics bronze medalist Christophe Lemaitre of France took the 200m in 20.23 seconds. 

Renaud Lavillenie topped the pole vault contest by clearing 5.80m. 

Elsewhere on the track, Jamaican Kelsey Spencer clocked 55.71 seconds to win 400m hurdles while USA's Jacquelyn Coward prevailed in the 100m hurdles (12.96 sec). Courtney Okolo of the United States took the women's one lap race with a time of 51.06 seconds.
