Former world-record holder Asafa Powell won a 100-metre race in 10.02 seconds on Sunday at the IAAF World Challenge meet in Belem, Brasil.
The Jamaican sprinter beat Americans Marvin Bracy (10.14) and Dentarius Locke (10.17) at the Brazilian Grand Prix in the northern city of Belem.
Powell´s winning time is his 2014 season best performance.
The 31-year-old Powell said he wants to try to "keep improving his time to start serious preparations to qualify for the 2016 Olympics" in Rio.
Powell, who ran 9.72 in 2008, served a six-month suspension after failing a doping test last year.
