Dibaba Sets 3000m WR 8:16.60

For the second consecutive week, Ethiopian superstar, Genzebe Diababa, set another world record; this time in 3000m indoors of 8:16.60 at the XL Galan indoor meeting in Stockholm, Sweden.
After "rabbits" dropped off at 1000m (2:48) Dibaba took the lead with a relaxed stride and kept working her way towards the world record.
With a massive kick over the last 200m the 23-year Ethiopian literally destroyed the previous record of 8:23.72 by Meseret Defar by almost 7 seconds.
Last week Defar set the 1500m world indoor record of 3:55.17.
