Challenged by cold rain and Jamaica's sprinter Nickel Ashmeade USA's sprinter Justin Gatlin managed to win 100m at the Gugl Games on Monday (26).
Gatlin, who took silver at the Moscow World Championships, clocked 10.08 seconds beating Ashmeade by 0.09. Trinidad and Tobago's Keston Bledmann Gatlin took third in 10.27 seconds.
London Olympic Champion, Aries Merritt defeated the 2008 Olympic champion Dayron Robles in 110m hurdles. Merrits winning time of 13.26 seconds was 0.23sec faster than what achieved Robles. Defending Olympic champion Sally Pearson of Australia won the women's 100 hurdles in 12.83. Pearson was the only women in the race to break 13 seconds as the second place winner Reina-Flor Okori of France clocked 13.17.
