Marileidy Paulino of the Dominican Republic has achieved a remarkable feat in her athletic career. After securing the Olympic silver medal in 2021 and the world silver medal last year, she has now emerged as a global champion in the 400m event.

In a display of exceptional skill and determination, Paulino delivered the race of her life, setting a new national record of 48.76 seconds. This outstanding performance allowed her to finish a remarkable 0.81 seconds ahead of her nearest opponent.
