Noah Lyles set a new 100m season best time to win the 100m at the 2022 ISTAF Berlin meeting on Sunday (4). ISTAF Berlin is part of the World Athletics Continental Tour silver-level meetings.
The 2-time World 200m Champion, Lyles, clocked 9.95 seconds to win the 100m in Berlin, beating African record Ferdinand Omanyala from Kenya by 0.17 seconds. Third place took British sprinter Jeremiah Azu with 10.16 seconds.
The 25-year-old Lyles, at this year's World Athletics Championships in Oregon, set the third fastest time in the history of 19.31 seconds when winning the 200m gold. Lyle's next race will be the Diamond League final in Zurich on September 7, where he will run the 200m.
