• What to watch at Spitzen Leichtathletik Luzern

Several international track and field stars will compete on Tuesday, August 30, at the Spitzen Leichtathletik Luzern 2022, a World Athletics Continental Tour silver-level meeting.

Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah of Jamaica and American Sha'Carri Richardson will clash in the women's 100m, while European champion Mujinga Kambundji of Switzerland leads the loaded women's 200m.

The women's 100m hurdles is headlined by Olympic champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico. She will face Pia Skrzyszowska, Luca Kozák, and Ditaji Kambundji, gold, silver, and bronze medalists from Munich's most recent European championships.

Former world record holder and Olympic silver medalist, Dalilah Muhammad of the United States will line up the women's 400m hurdles.

In the men's shot put, Ryan Crouser, the World record holder, and 2-time Olympic champion, will clash with New Zealand's Tom Walsh, who has won 1 world outdoor and two world indoor titles and 3 Olympic bronze medals.

In the men's long jump, Simon Ehammer, the European silver medalist, will challenge Olympic champion Miltiadis Tentoglou.

Keshorn Walcott, the Olympic gold and bronze medalist, leads a powerful men's javelin field, which includes six throwers with 83 plus meter season-best marks. The women's javelin throw lineup is also impressive, led by American Kara Winger (SB 64,68m) and seven other throwers with 60+ meters season-best marks.
