The 2024 World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships are set to take place in Antalya, Turkey on April 21. This event will feature over 400 athletes from around 50 countries competing in various race walking categories. The races will occur on a 2km loop course situated near the Antalya Expo Centre, with the starting and finishing areas located in front of the Expo 2016 Botanical Park.
A key highlight of this year's championships is the introduction of the Marathon Race Walking Mixed Relay, a new event that involves teams of one male and one female racer, each walking a marathon distance. This race not only adds a new dimension to the competition but also serves as a direct qualifier for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
