The Sirikwa Classic Cross Country is a prominent event in the World Athletics Cross Country Tour, holding a Gold Level status. This competition is marked to international standards, featuring a full range of events for men, women, and children. The 3rd edition of the Sirikwa Classic is scheduled for the 3rd of February, 2024, set against the scenic backdrop of Lobo Village Kapseret in Eldoret, Kenya.
The Sirikwa Classic Cross Country Classic honors the Sirikwa, an Iron Age tribe from the region, blending athletics with cultural celebration. Since its inception in 2022, initially named the Agnes Tirop Memorial Cross Country, the event has quickly become a Gold Standard Meeting on the World Athletics Cross Country Tour. It attracts a world-class field, predominantly of Kenyan athletes, along with large crowds, making it a significant event in the athletics calendar.
