But one of the headlines will be men's 400m, where defending world champion LawShann Merrit will take on Olympic champion Kirani James and like any other times fans can expect a spectacular race in between these two. James and Merriitt have clashed nine times in past years with the Grenada´s James winning Merritt in five occasions.
Another great race to watch will be women's 400m race where Olympic champion Sanya Richards-Ross will face Jamaica's Novlene Williams, Francena McCorory and Natasha Hastings. Williams is three time Olympic and 4 time world silver medalist. McCorory with Richards-Ross were on the USA's 4x400m team that took gold at London Olympics.
In the men's pole vault Renaud Lavillenie will return on Saturday at Drake stadium after his win at promotioal street pole vaulting on Wednesday. World pole vault record holder, Lavillenie, will take on Candian record holder Shawn Barber and some of the top American vaulters.
Top American women mid-distance runners will clash in the women's 800m race on Saturday. World's currently ranked No. 2 and No. 3 Ajee Wilson and Brenda Martinez, the world champs bronze medalist, will face world indoor champion Chanelle Price. Also expect to be in the mix Molly Beckwith Ludlow and Maggie Vessey’s.
