Olympic 100m hurdles champion Sally Pearson of Australia set the season's fastest time 7.79sec in 60m hurdles at the qualifying round on Saturday (1) at ISTAF INDOOR in Berlin.

Pearson continued to dominate race as she also won the 60m hurdle final in 7.80 seconds. It is worth to mention that it was Pearson's first indoor 60m hurdle race just 1 week before world indoor championships. The Australian last week posted a fast 12.59 in 100m hurdles at Perth Track Classic in Australia and after that she flew to Europe to prepare for World Indoor Championships.

Also in the meeting, Germany's Malte Mohr set #2 best mark of the year in the men's pole vault. Mohr now is favorite to win  the gold in Sopot since world #1 Lavillenie had to withdraw from the championships due to foot injury.

Another German, Verena Sailer, won the women's 60m in 7.12sec setting a new PR while St Kitts and Nevis veteran Kim Collins took the men's sprint in 6.52sec.

Cuba's 2008 Olympic 110m hurdles gold medallist Dayron Robles took the men's 60m hurdles in 7.53sec.
