Aleia Hobbs Blazes to 10.87 second 100m World Lead

American sprinter Aleia Hobbs opened her 2023 outdoor campaign on Saturday with a World-leading 100m. The Olympic 4x100m silver medalist won her 100m heat at the Lloyd Wills Invitational in Baton Rouge with a blazing 10.87 (2.0m/s), beating her teammate Candace Hill into second place (11.18).

Mikiah Brisco pipped Symone Mason by four-thousandths of a second in the 2nd women's 100m final at Lloyd Wills Invitational, both sprinters clocking 11.12 (wind +1.4).
