USA sprinter Courtney Lindsey, a lesser-known athlete, defeated one of the world's top 200m sprinters, Letsile Tebogo, at the Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi.

In the men's 200m race, Lindsey, who had just started his season, managed to edge out Tebogo from Botswana to win with a World Leading time of 19.77 seconds. Interestingly, both sprinters recorded the same time, but the photo finish revealed that Lindsey crossed the line a fraction of a second ahead of Tebogo. The headwind, measured at -1.6m/s, may have prevented them from achieving even faster times.

Lindsey's impressive performance followed his season opener in Florida last weekend, where he ran a wind-aided 19.88 seconds in his 2024 outdoor debut.
