In front of 30,000 spectators, Malaika Mihambo improved her lifetime best and her world lead to 7.16m in the final attempt at the German Athletics Championships in Berlin on Sunday.
Mihambo's 7.16m effort puts her in equal 3rd position on the German all-time list. The last German woman to jump farther was Heike Drechsler with her 7.25m jump in Sestierrer in 1994.
One day earlier Mihambo was 3rd in the 100m final in 11.21!
