Men's 400m hurdles highlighted the 2019 Shanghai Diamond League meet as Qatar's Abderrahman Samba clocked a new WL and meet record of 47.27 seconds and defeated USA's Rai Benjamin the third-fastest 400m hurdler of all time. Benjamin, who finished in second clocked 47.80 seconds.
