The inaugural Save the 10,000 with Des and Kara is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC) in Walnut, California. Hosted by Olympians Des Linden and Kara Goucher, the event aims to rejuvenate elite 10,000-meter racing in the U.S. and provide athletes with opportunities to achieve qualifying standards for major championships.
LIVE STREAMING:
The event will be streamed live on Runnerspace for free. The live broadcast is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM PT.
Race Times:
- Men’s 10000m Race: 8:00 PM PT
- Women’s 10000m Race: 8:45 PM PT
Each race featured up to 30 athletes, with entry standards set at 28:30 for men and 33:30 for women. Athletes not meeting these standards were placed on a waitlist and admitted based on descending times as spots became available.
