The 2025 Raiffeisen Austrian Open returns to the Leichtathletikarena in Eisenstadt on Wednesday, July 23, promising a thrilling evening of elite athletics as part of the World Athletics Continental Tour Silver series.

Austrian stars Victoria Hudson and Lukas Weißhaidinger headline the throws events. Hudson, the world leader and European javelin champion, will look to build on her national record of 67.76m against a strong international field. Weißhaidinger returns to defend his title in the discus, facing world-class competition from Algeria’s Oussama Khennoussi and decathlon star Simon Ehammer.

The sprints and hurdles will feature explosive matchups. U23 European champion Enzo Diessl lines up in the 110m hurdles, while the women’s 100m hurdles includes Polish star Pia Skrzyszowska, Austria’s Karin Strametz, and Irish champion Sarah Lavin. The 100m and 200m dashes are stacked with international talent including Bryan Levell (JAM), Yoshihide Kiryu (JPN), Maia McCoy (USA), and Germany’s Alexandra Burghardt.

In the middle distances, Austrian record-holder Caroline Bredlinger leads the 800m, while pole vault standout Piotr Lisek (POL) brings his 6.02m pedigree to Eisenstadt.
